Dhr. Pat McQuaid (president UCI) drukt zijn morele steun aan de organisatie van het World University Championship Cycling uit in een adviesbrief, welke is gericht aan alle (potentiele) deelnemende landen.  

Hij schrijft:

"On behalf of the UCI, I would like to give my full support for this initiative. We are thrilled to see this many students combine their academic life with cycling on such a high level. I hope you will send your best delegation to the WUC Cycling event in Nijmegen."
