Next to the World championship Mountain Bike Marathon for students, there will be two more events at Saturday 24th of May. The mountain bike marathon course will also be used for an Open MTB Marathon, in which all Dutch bikers can take part. The start fee of this competition is €25,- and includes a chip for chronometry.

The pre-subscribtion for the Open MTB Marathon is opened till May 20th. Those who subscribed will receive an email containing all practical information and possible changes, around the date of May 20th.

The start numbers can be fetched at friday 23rd of May from 17.30 to 18.30 hour and at saturday 24th of May from 08.30 to 09.30 hour in the University Sports Centre (Universitair Sportcentrum Nijmegen), address: Heyendaalseweg 141, Nijmegen.

The start is at 10.05 hour, directly after the start of the World University Championship Cycling mountain bikers in front of the entrace of the sports centre.

Subscription after May 20th is only possible at the desk in the University Sports Centre, from friday the 23rd of May between 17.30 and 18.30 hour. Or at the day itself (saturday the 24th of May) only between 08.30 and 09.30 hour at the same desk. The fee will be €27,- then.

Gadget

All partcipants of the Open MTB Marathon have to possibility to rent the ChampionChip Tracker. With this GPS tracker one can trace himself on the mountain bike marathon track after the race is held. In this well-designed interface one can see real time speed, ranking, split times and heartbeat all on one website.

Renting the ChampionChip Tracker is possible when fetching the start number for only € 15,-.

Second is a recreational mountain bike tour. This will start right after the World championship and the Open MTB Marathon. The first 22 kilometers will follow the same course as the marathon and open competition (both 120 km). Then it will return towards Nijmegen over the last part of the marathon course to finish this tour after 32 kilometers at the University Sportscentre Gymnasion, Nijmegen.

Subscription is on the actual day and costs €4,-.
