Martinus Antonius (Maarten) Ducrot (Vlissingen, 8 april 1958) is a former pro cyclist, who is most known now as a cycling tv commentator. After he finished his psychology studies at the University of Utrecht he became world champion in the team time trial in 1982. In 1985 he signed his first pro contract with the Kwantum team of jan Raas. He participated in the Tour the France 5 times and won one Tour stage. Furthermore he won stages in the tour of Romandie, the Dauphiné Libéré and the Coors Classic.

 

In 1991 he stopped racing as a pro. He started working as an organisational advisor and owns an consultancy company now. Ducrot turned tv commentator for the national Dutch broadcasting company in 2004.
